Cole South moves to Canada, wins $100k at Full Tilt Poker

Friday, 27 May 2011

Cole South is one of the first well-known US players to relocate in order to continue playing high stakes online. CTS showed up at Full Tilt this week with his location changed to Canada and immediately got the action going again by jumping into the $200/$400 PLO games.

It’s great to see some uncapped PLO action going down though Esvedra wouldn’t agree – he was South’s – and the deck’s – victim over the course of the session and lost over $100,000 to the ginger online wonderkid. That wasn’t all the damage, though.

NoPasaran, the Russian PLO specialist, joined the foray and Esvedra lost an additional $145,000 to him. This puts Esvedra down over $250,000 for the evening so we’re sure he has had better days.

With South now in Canada it will be interesting to see who of the US pros will move next. Don’t be surprised to see Phil Ivey logging in from Monaco (or Scotland, he loves the golf) and durrrr coming to the Full Tilt tables from Macau in the near future.
