Cole South has a +$275,146 weekend

Monday, 18 January 2010

It was a relatively quiet weekend at Full Tilt Poker, but if you’ve been reading our online news section long enough you’ll know that it certainly doesn’t mean no one won or lost six figures.

Cole “CTS” South was the weekend’s biggest winner – despite running up only 427 hands, he earned over a quarter of a million dollars for a total net profit of $275,146. Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond took the brunt of the cold decks on offer, with the latter losing just under $200,000 and durrrr dropping $365,000.

The largest pot of the weekend was a $197,000 beast between Cole South and durrrr at $500/$1,000 PLO – in a 3-bet pot, durrrr flopped a straight draw only to turn the second-nut flush draw too. The money flew in, but South had made two pair on the turn and filled up on the river to complete a runner-runner, taking the $196,598 pot.
