Andy Bloch wins $140,000 at Full Tilt Poker

Monday, 12 July 2010

The action at high stakes online has been very dull over the World Series of Poker, which is why a layer of dust had to be blown from this section of the website before you could read this. It seems to have bought players out of the woodwork though, notably Full Tilt Poker Pro Andy Bloch.

Bloch, a tournament player regarded as the ‘Best Without a Bracelet’ took to the 7-game mix and wound up as the day’s biggest winner with a tidy score of $141,690 in net profit. Gus Hansen also found his way onto the scoresheet with a $96,000 win and both Brian Townsend and Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies managed a five-figure score.

Both harrington25 and Justin “BoostedJ” Smith had bad days, losing a quarter million dollars between them. Ben Grundy was also present at the PLO tables where he managed to pick up $40,000.

Well, I don’t know about you but we can’t wait until these guys stop playing with tournament chips and start raising a new state-of-the-art PC, 3-betting to a new motorcycle and six-bet shoving a house.
