iPoker suspends transfers

Thursday, 2 May 2013

There was confusion at sites connected to the iPoker network yesterday after player-to-player transfers were suddenly stopped although competitors were able to continue making inter-room transfers across all domains including Titan Poker and Bet365.

Fears as to why this step was taken have now been partially soothed after iPoker revealed a few hours ago that the ban on competitors sending funds to each other from different sites is only set to be temporary.

Investigating sites on the network, the player-to-play transfer function has been removed due to ‘security concerns’ although there has yet to be an official comment on the matter from iPoker with speculation growing that the move was down to allegations of suspected money laundering.

Although cross-network transfers were never allowed, the recent move has caused concern among a number of staking outfits that use the player-to-player facility to supply their horses with funds.
