iPoker’s Recent Peak

iPoker’s Recent Peak

Friday, 9 November 2012

A recent statistical report by PokerScout has shown that traffic figures are up by around 15% in the last week thanks to Everest Poker’s migration to the network.

Having entered iPoker’s top tier (a selection of the most well populated sites on the network) last Friday, Everest Poker has not only kept pace with the more established sites such as Titan Poker and PaddyPowerPoker, but has also become a valuable assest to the network.

Indeed, having remained as an independent site for a long time, around 90% of Everest’s cash game players made the switch in what PokerScout described as “one of the largest network acquisitions in online poker history”.
iPoker’s French axis also seems to be benefitting from Everest’s move to the network with a host of new players now making them a much stronger force in the market.

The recent surge in numbers will certainly come as welcome news for those involved with the network as a quarter three report showed a drop in poker profits for iPoker’s owner, Playtech. According to the report, poker now accounts for only 5% of Playtech’s income.

However, with an increased presence in France and enhanced traffic figures over the past week thanks to the Everest merger it seems as though the company’s poker arm could be regaining some strength.
