EC Poker Tour comes to a close with 3 way action in the final hand!

Sunday, 15 November 2009

Michael Schuchardt pushes all in whilst holding a pair of 10’s and gets re-raised by John Van De Bruggen who is holding 66. Bo Sehlstedt thinks about Van De Bruggen’s bet and decides to call whilst holding AQ.

Pre-Flop, Michael Schuchardt is in the lead, yet as soon as the dealer uncovers the flop his face changes upon seeing the first card, an Ace followed by a 4 and another 4 putting Bo in the lead. The turn card comes out as a 10 which completely flip flops the situation putting Michael Schuchardt back in the lead with a full house of Tens full of fours. The final strike comes in as an Ace on the river which again flips the situation around by putting Bo back in the lead with a full house of Aces full of fours, sending out the John Van De Bruggen in second with a pair of sixes [and the second largest stack] and Michael Schuchardt in third.

The EC Poker Tour has finally come to an end, with a very swift finish at the final table which saw these incredibly capable players battle it out in a record time. All the players were impressed with the final hand which swept away the audience who witnessed one of the most dramatic endings at a final table in recent live poker history.

The final prizes went out as follows:-

1st Bo Sehlstedt - €51,382
2nd John Van Der Bruggen - €31,200
