After years of speculation and then months of finally waiting, Zynga will finally launch its first real money poker venture in the UK.
Finding a place on PartyPoker’s network, the most recognisable play money poker site in the world will finally accept real money deposits as of today, according to a company blog post.Operating under the name, ZyngaPlusPoker, the platform will give players aged 18+ the chance to play via a downloadable client or in their web browser. According to a public statement by Zynga’s Brian Cottle, the site’s long-term vision is to “offer our players the next generation of real money games on multiple platforms in regulated markets worldwide.”Welcome packages will be available for players, including real money bonuses and free cash on deposit. Moreover, there will be “a wide variety of games and tournament with buy-ins at every level”. At present the platform will only be accessible through the main game client, however, later in the year provisions for Facebook and mobile users will become available. Indeed, it’s at this point a number of recreational players are expected to have their first taste of real money poker and cause a spike in traffic. Opening alongside ZyngaPlusPoker will by ZyngaPlusCasino, an online betting portal that will offer traditional casino games such as roulette and blackjack, as well as 160+ slot games including their famous FarmVille themed game.
