Day 1a of the first £1,000 GUKPT Main Event of 2013 saw a bumper field of 173 entrants at the Vic yesterday and by the close of play it was Marc Wright who was leading the way.
The Cornish-based pro closed the day with a stack of 113,425 putting him just ahead of George Trigeorgis on 109,450 and Wei Deng Wang on 108,400.As expected, plenty of big names were on hand for the £200,000 guaranteed event with the likes of Marvin Rettenmaier 89,900 and Surinder Sunar 88,750 making excellent starts.
