The richest ever poker game will be held next year at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia. The event features a US$10 million buy-in along with a staggering US$80 winner-take-all first prize. The landmark affair will be televised across the globe with Fox Sports Network carrying the programming into the United States.
Ever-patriotic Australians are hopeful that Melbourne-born poker champion, Joe Hachem – who won AUD$10 million in Las Vegas earlier this year – will be in the elite field of six to join such huge poker names as Phil Ivey.
