The South Point Casino in Las Vegas will be the venue for the three-day event which is scheduled for 24-26 May 2011, a few days before the start of the 2011 World Series of Poker. The event will feature teams from 20 countries plus a celebrity team led by Jerry Buss. The final line up hasn't been confirmed yet but Team England are certain to play with a Welsh team also a possibility. The format of World Team Poker tournaments is different to many other TV events with team captains allowed to coach team members on correct play strategy (although we can only imagine quite how someone like Phil Hellmuth would cope with another player telling him what to do). Similarly, skippers can also substitute team members while the tournament is in process. The Chinese team, led by co-captains Johnny Chan and David Chiu won last years championship.Keep up to date with all the news from the poker world by following us on Twitter and Facebook.
