World Series of Poker Europe schedule announced

Friday, 28 May 2010

As the poker world prepares for the 41st annual World Series of Poker, Londoners cast their eyes to September when the fourth annual World Series of Poker Europe tournament series takes place; the schedule being announced by Harrah’s last night.

Two new events have been added to the schedule. The first is a £2,500 6-max No Limit Hold ‘em event that kicks off proceedings on September 14th and runs for two days. The second matches the mighty £10,000 buy-in of the five-day Main Event; a Heads-Up High Roller tournament running for two days on September 21-23 promises to bring out the best of the poker world.
The series also has a 2 day Pot Limit Omaha tournament with a £5,000 buy-in and of course the £10,000 Main Event, beginning on September 23 and running for five days with two opening flights.

For the bankroll-challenged among us there is the option of a £1,000 Hold ‘em event that has three opening days and may threaten to take the 2009 EPT London title of largest UK poker tournament. Alternatively, satellites will be running all over the shop on tournament sponsors Betfair.

The full schedule is as follows:

Event 1 – £2,500 No-Limit Hold 'em 6-max – Sept 14-16th
Event 2 – £5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha – Sept 16th-18th
Event 3 – £1,000 No-Limit Hold 'em – Sept 17th-21st (three starting days)
Event 4 – £10,000 High-Roller Heads-Up No-Limit Hold 'em Sept 21st-23rd
Event 5 – £10,000 No-Limit Hold 'em Main Event – Sept 23rd-28th (two starting days)
