World Series of Poker Europe – 80 return for £1,075 Day 2

World Series of Poker Europe – 80 return for £1,075 Day 2

Monday, 20 September 2010

Despite the wealth of poker talent competing in Day 1c of Event 3 at the 2010 WSOPE – Phil Laak, Michael Mizrachi, Neil Channing, Jeff Madsen – few notable pros survived with the final 25 to join the total of 80 returning for Day 2 today.

One such notable was Allen “chainsaw” Kessler who has had a great WSOP for 2010 and will be looking for a deep run rather than his usual mini-cash in this £1,075 event. Notorious for tournament structure analysis, ‘complainsaw’ may have had issues with the 3,000 starting stacks at 25/50 but he built his up to almost 13,000 for the return today with 200/400/75 blinds.

Leonard Truche holds the position of Day 1c chip leader after bagging up 42,400 by the end of nine blind levels. However he is hotly pursued by Song Lee (40,300); Ting He (40,100) and Adam Fradgley (40,100). Tommy Vedes also survived the day with an average stack and will be looking to make it to the final 54 in the money and the final 9 at the final table. We said final too much.

Wesley Pantling still holds the honour of overall chip leader, though. The top five chip counts from all three days are as follows:

1. Wesley Pantling – 56,200 (Day 1b)
2. Sofia Lovgren – 52,500 (Day 1b)
3. Jeppe Bisgaard – 49,000 (Day 1a)
4. Anton Wigg – 45,600 (Day 1a)
5. Leonard Truche – 42,400 (Day 1c)
