World Poker Tour season XI schedule announced

With the $25,000 WPT Championship to take place next week, the World Poker Tour yesterday unveiled the Season XI schedule which begins in Northern Cyprus on August 4 with a $4,400 buy-in event.

“World Poker Tour is committed to extending its global reach,” WPT CEO Steve Heller said. “Not only will Season XI feature new stops in the US and abroad, but World Poker Tour is also widely expanding our Regional and National Series to deliver the WPT experience to as many players and fans as possible.”


Of the 11 events, the new stop is the WPT Parx Open Classic in Pennsylvania. In addition, the WPT will be stopping in Copenhagen this November.


The smaller buy-in WPT National events will also return with tournaments in Europe scheduled for Madrid, Venice and Barcelona as well as an African stop in Mazagan, Morocco.
