New poker software seems to be popping everywhere at the moment, and now you can add the World Poker Tour’s PSP game to the list. About to hit stores, the game looks brilliant with virtual versions of the WPT’s leading players Antonio “the Magician” Esfandiari, Evelyn Ng, Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi and Lyle Berman. Add to this the opportunity to develop your own character based on 1,200 different participants (think the hairstyles and clothes sections that made the most recent GTA game endless fun), along with the chance to win tournaments and bump your earnings and online ranking.
The game also offers the opportunity to play wirelessly against any number of online opponents. In fact, it looks like the perfect way to lessen your bankroll and get some serious practice in before heading online to play the real thing and come away a big winner. On the other hand, it’s probably just another excuse to stare at your must-have piece of hardware.
