World Heads Up Poker Championship starts tomorrow

Win five heads up matches and pocket a massive pile of cash. Sounds simple doesn't it? In practice it will be a whole lot more difficult as poker's short handed specialists head to London's Victoria Casino for the 2010 World Heads Up Poker Championship which gets under way tomorrow lunchtime.

The opening round of matches in the £2000+£200 buy-in event kick off at noon with round two scheduled for later on Friday. The opening day survivors will return at noon on Saturday for rounds three and four with the quarter and semi finals scheduled for Sunday. The final pair will square off for the title at 5pm on Monday evening.


In addition to the a hefty cash prize, the winner will also earn a seat in the GUKPT Champion of Champions event. Viewers will be able to follow all the action live via pokerineuropelive.com.


Bambos Xanthos defeated Irish Open champion James Mitchell to pocket last year's £65,000 first prize.
