Willie Elliot Heads UKIPT Nottingham Final Table

Willie Elliot Heads UKIPT Nottingham Final Table

Monday, 12 May 2014

Scotland's Willie Elliot is the man to beat heading into today's final table at UKIPT Nottingham. The full-time carer dominated the penultimate day's action at Dusk Till Dawn and will start today with a stack of 5,625,000, over one million ahead of his nearest rival.

That closest challenger is Juan 'the moustache' Benito. The Spaniard started Sunday with the chip lead and maintained his place in the upper echelons of the leader board throughout the day. He'll resume with 4,385,000.

There is plenty of class scattered amongst the final eight including former UKIPT winner Duncan McLellan (3,320,000) and Sky Poker pundit Ryan Spittles (3,305,000) who'll return in third and fourth respectively.

Rounding out the final table are Anthony Flynn (2,495,000), Angelo Milioto (2,455,000), Ramey Shaio (1,770,000) and short stack Trevor Pearson (965,000).

Joeri Zandvliet topped the list of high profile day 3 exits. The Dutchman, who was looking for a third UKIPT title, departed in 16th place, £9,600 to the good. Other notables to enjoy a decent pay were Richard Kellett (31st,£5,500) and Ben Vinson (15th, £10,850).

Terry Carter was the final table bubble boy, unluckily pushing his pocket kings into Ryan Spittles' pocket aces. A king on the flop was followed straight after by an ace to send Carter to the rail. £16,100 should offer a modicum of consolation.

The remaining players are guaranteed a pay day of at least £20,800 with the eventual winner walking away with £218,300.

The action resumes at 2pm today with railbirds able to follow the action on the PokerStars Live Stream with a one-hour delay from 3pm.
