William Hill TV on SKY Channel 425 celebrates its first birthday on Thursday 6th October with over 120 hours of live programming every week and plans to launch a brand new early evening programme within weeks.
Channel 425 is a unique channel, free to Sky Digital subscribers, which started quietly on Wednesday 6th October 2004 with just 3 hours a day of live sporting content and RNG events like roulette. Today, Channel 425 has developed a dedicated following for the variance in its programming.
'The channel has come a long way in a year and continues to attract new viewers each week. Channel 425 is a hybrid really, sitting between the simple gaming channels and the dedicated sports channels that are available to viewers on the Sky platform. It has become an integral part of William Hills overall product strategy, by airing the type of content that punters want to bet on and subsequently drives them to our remote betting channels (telephone and internet) and the numbers games like roulette which our viewers access through the interactive red button,” David Hood, Director of PR at Hills commented.
“We have plans for additional programming which will be produced in-house and launched to the public in a matter of weeks and will feature some familiar sporting heroes.'
