Online qualifiers for the Blue Square & Grosvenor Casino £4,000,000 UK Poker Tour kick off this Saturday, December 16 in what is being billed as probably the UK’s biggest ever poker roadshow.
Details of the UK-only poker tour were released in November but said that the opening tournaments would take place at the Grosvenor Casino Bolton between January 14 and January 17 next year.
The tour itself will consist of 10 legs, in fact beginning in Bolton on January 12 2007, and culminating in the Grand Final in December at the renowned London Grosvenor Victoria Casino. Winners of each leg also win a seat at the UK Poker Tour Grand Final, to be held at the end of the year.
Each leg of the tour has a £1,000 buy-in, with players able to qualify in satellites at Grosvenor Casinos or online at Blue Square Poker. Additionally, a £3,000 buy-in to the Grand Final is available to non-leg winners.
All players will have the chance to play for a share of an anticipated £4,000,000 prizepool across the 10 events.
