Shuffle up and deal!

Saturday, 6 November 2010

After a lengthy set of introductions, ringside girls with seat numbers on cards, theme music for each player and applause from the thousands-strong crowd, we are kicking off the play at the WSOP final table!

The top prize is the second largest awarded in WSOP history, behind only Jamie Gold’s $12,000,000 win in 2006. The difference between first and second is almost $3.4m; enough to buy two Bugatti Veyrons and a nice big house to park them in – so you can see the pressure that the two surviving players of tonight’s match will be under when they play heads-up on Monday.

Oh, and there’s also the matter of the most-wanted bracelet in the World Series of Poker and becoming the most famous poker player in the world for several months. Let’s get to the action...
