Play resumes - seven-figure blind level looms

Sunday, 7 November 2010

In total there is 219,600,000 in chips on the table between the seven remaining players at the World Series of Poker Main Event final table; from chip leader Michael Mizrachi with 50,525,000 to short stack John Dolan sitting on 19,250,000.

However, fast forward an hour, when the blinds are 500,000/1,000,000 and an ante of 100,000 is required from each player. This means that even the big stack Mizrachi has only fifty big blinds and an M (stack/blinds+antes) of just 20 - barely considered a big stack at all!

The tournament took six hours to decide the November Nine from condensing to a ten-handed table which took blinds from 120,000/240,000 to 250,000/500,000; essentially halving the average stack. Now a 2,200,000 blind steal is incredibly valueable so expect to see some big swings in the chip counts and possibly a few eliminations in the next blind level.

Let's shuffle up and deal; there is about 58 minutes left of this level.
