The largest field in World Series of Poker Europe history has been whittled down to a final table of nine, with Welshman and EPT champion Roberto Romanello sitting third in chips and guaranteed at least €13,892. First prize is €148,030 plus the WSOPE bracelet.

Romanello battled through a record-breaking field of 771 players to make his way to the final nine. The biggest event in WSOPE history saw deep runs from Erik Cajelais, James Mitchell, Vanessa Selbst and Kevin MacPhee but ultimately, Romanello and John Eames are the two biggest names at the final table.


Chip leader of the last nine is Gianluca Speranza, who built up his stack to a little under 800k by the end of Day 2. The chip counts are as follows; blinds are 3000/6000:
