WSOPE 2011 – €5,300 PLO event attracts 180 players

Shannon Shorr is leading the way into Day 2 of the largest Pot-Limit Omaha event that the WSOPE has attracted, with 49 players remaining out of the 180 who signed up for the €5,300 event to create a prize pool of €900k. The winner of the event will take home not only the bracelet but also €238,140.

Other big names in the final 49 include Shawn Buchanan, Randy Dorfman, Sam Trickett, Phil Hellmuth, David Williams, Mike McDonald, Gavin Cochrane, Sam Stein, Vladimir Shchemelev, Eoghan O’Dea and Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott.


Those not so lucky and among the 131 who crashed out into the rail on Day 1 include Erik Seidel, Barry Greenstein, Anton Wigg, Peter Jetten, Andrew Robl and Michael Mizrachi. Day 2 of the event plays out today with the top 18 players making the money.
