The 2011 WSOPE Main Event is rapidly approach the business end of proceedings with two faces familiar to UK poker fans at the top of the leader board. With just 25 players remaining UKIPT Dublin winner Max Silver tops the chip counts with 1,780,000, just ahead of Chris Moorman who bagged up 1,769,000.

Amir Lehavot is next on 1,398,000 with Canada's Shawn Buchanan with 1,2670,000 and Irishman Dermot Blain with 1,200,000 rounding out the seven figure stack club.


There's plenty of class further down the leader board too with Brit Andrew Moseley (863,000) Patrik Antonius (696,000), triple crown winner Jake Cody (522,000), EPT big cheese John Duthie (314,000), Erik Seidel (242,000) and John Eames (210,000) all very much in the hunt.


Notables who made the money but busted out yesterday included Barny Boatman in 51st place, Freddy Deeb in 39th and Liv Boeree in 36th.


All 25 remaining players are guaranteed a pay day of at least €32,000 with the nine that make the final table making €90,000. Tony G can expect an extra €100k on top of whatever he earns after winning his wager that he would make the money in the Main Event.
