WSOPE Day 1b begins today

WSOPE Day 1b begins today

Friday, 24 September 2010

Yesterday we saw 137 players compete in the £10,300 No Limit Hold 'em Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe but only 78 of them survived Day 1a. Among the casualties were Roberto Romanello, Vanessa Selbst, Sorel Mizzi and Toby Lewis.

However, we did see lots of players make it through to rejoin us on Saturday - John Juanda, the Boatman brothers, Howard Lederer... hell, most of Team Full Tilt. Jason Mercier and Teddy Sheringham joined the likes of Allen Cunningham and Erik Seidel by finishing the first six levels with chips.

Once again, players will begin at noon and play out six ninety-minute blind levels with a twenty minute break between each one. We should have a Day 2 line-up sorted by midnight tonight.

We'll be back at noon when the action begins at The Empire in Leicester Square.
