Roland de Wolfe doubles up through Clint Coffee

Monday, 27 September 2010

Roland de Wolfe has doubled up to an average stack at the expense of Clint Coffee in an all-in before the flop. Coffee, in the big blind, got into a pre-flop raising battle with de Wolfe who eventually put all his chips in and showed Th-Tc to Coffee’s Ad-Qc.

The flop was one hell of a sweat – despite giving de Wolfe top set, the Td-4d-5d flop provided backdoor straight outs (wheel and broadway) as well as the nut flush draw to Coffee. However, the five of spades fell on the turn to give de Wolfe a full house and end the drama right there.

Roland de Wolfe has now increased the 110,000 stack he started the day with to 564,000 which is pretty much bang on the average. Coffee has dropped down to less than 200,000. Viktor Blom is still leading the field and we still have 19 players though if this level is anything like the last we’ll be down to 15 in about twenty minutes.

Blinds are now 5,000/10,000 with a 1,000 ante.
