Gus Hansen reaches £10,000 Heads Up High Roller final

Thursday, 23 September 2010

The Great Dane has progressed to the final match of the Heads Up High Roller event and is guaranteed a six-figure payout - however, he will be looking to take down his first WSOP bracelet and a £288,000 first prize.

Feldman never really got anything going in their match and Hansen threw raise after re-raise after raise at the young Brit. In their last hand, Hansen made it 88,000 after a 33,000 open from Feldman on the button.

Feldman moved in for his last 270,000 and Hansen pondered a while before calling with KJo. Feldman gave a weird "pfffffffffffffff" noise through his teeth when he saw Hansen's hand and turned over T-T.

One king-high board later and it was all over - Feldman departs in 4th place with £97,000 to soothe his troubles; Hansen is half-watching the Vaswani-Collopy match between interviews and phone calls. Currently Vaswani holds the slightest of slight chip leads so Gus could be waiting a while.
