The $5,000 PL Omaha tournament currently underway here in the Casino at the Empire, Leicester Square, is apparently the place to be (if you are a poker player).
Despite, perhaps, proving a little pricey for your average poker junkie, Event 3 of the WSOPE schedule has lured in many of the world’s top tournament players. Pretty much everyone is here. Do i need to list them? Of course i do...To give you an example, on the two tables nearest to me – one has Chris Ferguson, Roberto Romanello, Joe Beevers, Alen Cunningham, Jeff Madsen and Chris Bjorin all sitting in a row and the other has Mike Matusow, James Akenhead and John Juanda sitting in a line. Oh and as i am writing this - David Williams has just joined Ferguson and co. to officially confirm their table as the Death Table. (pictured above)In total 154 have sat down, each receiving 10,000 in chips and each with the option of an additional 10,000 chip add-on to be taken at any point within the first three levels.
