Gooooo Devilfish

Gooooo Devilfish

It was like the Second World War all over again - only this time, picture David Ulliott leading the country. Tobias Reinkemeier, who made himself rather unpopular after pulling a sly move against Roland de Wolfe in EPT Barcelona, has busted out to the Devilfish in a rather big pot.

Tobias Reinkemeier, who made himself rather unpopular after pulling a sly move against Roland de Wolfe in EPT Barcelona, has busted out to the Devilfish in a rather big pot.

Defending his blinds, Dave Uliott called Reinkemeier’s pre-flop raise of 5,000 from the big blind (only 3,000 more) with 10 9. The flop awarded him with the nuts on a Q 8 J board and he checked it to Tobias, who fired out a bet. Devilfish check-raised before Tobias pushed all in for the remainder of his stack. Obviously there followed a call from the Devilfish and as both sets of cards were tabled, Reinkemeier shook his head before yelling ‘c’mon, one time!’. Reinkemeier held Q8 and was looking to fill up with either a Q or an 8. The T on the turn gave Reinkemeier one more lifeline in the form of a nine but the 5 on the river was well and truly a brick for the German.

However, perhaps wary of his newly acquired reputation, Reinkemeier was most gracious in defeat and wished everyone at the table good luck before disappearing up to the press room to relive the hand with his fellow countrymen at pokerstrategy.com.

Roland de Wolfe will probably be buying Devilfish a drink soon.
