WSOPE Heads Up High Roller final to conclude tonight

WSOPE Heads Up High Roller final to conclude tonight

Sunday, 26 September 2010

In the end, three days was just not enough to whittle the 103-strong field in the WSOPE Heads Up High Roller £10,350 event down to one winner. Instead, Gus Hansen and Jim Collopy battled until 3am before calling it a day with one game apiece and the decider still to play.

Since then we’ve had another tournament to worry about – you may have heard that the Main Event is currently underway. However, Hansen and Collopy are both out of the Main Event now and their final match is scheduled to take place tonight at 6pm. In their last two matches, Hansen dominated proceedings from start to finish and got very unlucky to lose the second game.

Both players are seeking their first WSOP title, which neither have despite tournament success. Hansen has three World Poker Tour titles and an Aussie Millions championship under his belt; Collopy has over $1.45m in online tournament earnings including a PokerStars Sunday 500 win for $87,000.
The match will begin at 6pm tonight and, presuming that the magic 27 number of the Main Event hasn’t been reached by then, we’ll bring you all the action.
