Vanessa Selbst wins $2,500 Six-Max Ten-Game Mixed event

While most eyes were trained on the Big One For One Drop table there was the not so small matter of almost a quarter of a million dollars on offer to the winner in the tongue twisting $2.5k Six-Max Ten-Game Mixed event.

19 of the 421 starters were back for the final day and by the close it was Vanessa Selbst who was celebrating a second WSOP bracelet victory. The former Partouche Poker Tour Main Event winner beat a final table that included Tom Chambers and serial WSOP casher Chris Bjorin before quickly seeing off Michael Saltzburg heads up. Selbst sealed her second World Series title with the nuts in a round of Deuce to seven triple draw to take hear career tournament earnings past the $5.4m mark.


“I ran so good that, once I had the chips it was kind of easy,” said the winner.


The final table positions and payouts were as follows:
1. Vanessa Selbst – $244,259
2. Michael Saltzburg – $150,849
3. Tommy Hang – $97,884
4. Chris Bjorin – $64,649
5. Tom Chambers – $43,099
6. Mike Gorodinsky – $30,169
