WSOP 2011 – Chris Moorman heads-up for $10k 6-max NL title

Thursday, 30 June 2011

One of the landmark events of the WSOP is down to heads-up with Chris “Moorman1” Moorman battling Joe Ebanks for the $10,000 6-max NL bracelet that might as well be renamed “The Online Players’ Championship”. Moorman made it past a final table that included ElkY, Mike Sowers and Tristan Wade in order to get heads-up.

Currently, Ebanks has a pretty sizeable chip lead with a 10.9m to 3.5m stack but Moorman is one of the most experienced tournament players in the world, and English, so he’ll almost certainly win. The hard stop rule means that he has a night of sleep before going back to attempt to win his first bracelet.

With Moorman at 3.5m and blinds starting at 60k/120k tomorrow he’s by no means dead in the water – in fact, a 25-30BB stack size should be about his ideal range. He’d rather his opponent had only 5-6BBs though, we’d bet.
