WSOP 2011 - Ben Lamb heads Main Event Day 2B chip counts

Wednesday, 13 July 2011

2B or not 2B, that was the question for the Main Event Day 1B and 1D survivors who were back for the second day two flight at the Rio yesterday.

As has been the case for most of this year's WSOP, the man with the answers was Ben Lamb. The $10k PLO Champion has been on a Seidel-esque heater this past month and continued his amazing run by finishing at the top of the Day 2B chip counts on 551,600. Joining Lamb at the top of the leader board were the likes of Kevin Saul on 542,200, Ryan D'Angelo on 462,300 and Patrik Antonius on 361,000.

Other notables who survived Day 2B included Jeff Madsen, David Oppenheim, Victor Ramdin, Erick Lindgren and John Racener.

York's Ashley Mason led the UK challenge on 325,900 with Scott Shelley, Rupert Elder, Sunny Chattha, David Vamplew and John Shipley all returning for Day 3.

Yesterday was the last of the split days with all 1,866 players resuming battle later today. Only 693 will make the money though. Join us tomorrow to see who is that step closer to November Nine glory.
