Amongst all the ballyhoo surrounding the Main Event there was the small matter of two bracelets to be decided. The hard stop rule brought a premature close to the $5k PLO Split 8 or Better event and the final $1.5k No Limit Hold'em tournament.

The former was won by Nick Binger who beat 2009 $50,000 H.O.R.S.E champion David Bach to take his first bracelet as well as $397,000.

Sweden's Alexander Anter took the $1.5k No Limit Hold'em title and in some style. The 22-year-old sealed the victory hitting a Royal Flush with the final hand of the tournament.

Anter, who is the only Scandinavian player to win a bracelet this year said, “It’s a big honour. Now, I can finally show my parents that I’m a poker player and maybe they won’t yell at me to be studying.”

He can also show them a big fat cheque for $777,928.
