WSOP 2011 - $10k NL 2-7 Draw Day 1 completed

Friday, 10 June 2011

The field for the $10,000 No Limit Deuce to Seven Draw event attracted a field of 126 players, 25 more than 2010, to give us a $1.2m prize pool. The increased attendance is no surprise given the recent popularity of Draw games online – speaking of which, online tournament crusher Shaun Deeb is second in chips.

He trails Vince Musso’s 106,200 stack but not by much – Deeb and Musso are the only players over 100,000. Also in the top ten are Nick Schulman, Jennifer Harman, Vladimir Schmelev and Phil Hellmuth. The UK are rooting for Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott and Richard Ashby though, who finished with above-average stacks of 56,500 and 56,000 respectively.

Other notable names left in contention include David Williams, Daniel Alaei, Scott Seiver, Sam Trickett, George Lind, Daniel Negreanu, ElkY, Matt Perrins, James Bord... OK, the entire field is absolutely stacked. Everyone is still left.

In seriousness, there are 88 players remaining of the 126 entrants with Perrins, Bord, Trickett, Ulliott and Ashby giving us hope for a third UK bracelet in the next couple of days.
