WSOP 2011 – $1,500 NL hits Day 3 with 35 players remaining

Monday, 20 June 2011

The $1,500 NL event began the day with a field of 362 narrowed down from a starting line-up of 2,828 players. When we return for Day 3 tomorrow we will do so with just 35 competitors and Dror Michaelo leading the way with a monstrous stack of 876,000; nearly three times the average.

Notable names left in the field are thin on the ground – Day 2 saw us lose TJ Cloutier, Chino Rheem, Justin Young and Layne Flack. Those who made the money but fell short of the final 35 include Jonathan Karamalikis, Jason DeWitt, Matt Affleck, Todd Terry, Amit Makhija John Eames, Soi Nguyen, Tim West and Carter Gill.

All remaining players have a nice return on their investment with a $15,000 payday guaranteed but the final table payouts begin at $49,631 with the eventual bracelet-winner set to walk away with $668,276 plus the glitter.
