Soullier heads up with Buchanan in $10k H.O.R.S.E

Friday, 24 June 2011

We thought we'd be bringing you news of the winner of the $10k H.O.R.S.E Championship but alas the dreaded ten-level rule brought things to a premature close with just two players remaining.

Fabrice Soulier, with 6,290,000 chips, has an almost seven to one chip lead over heads up opponent Shawn Buchanan on 910,000 but rules are rules so they'll be heading back to the tables tomorrow afternoon to complete the action.

As you'd expect from such a prestigious event the $10k H.O.R.S.E attracted a top notch field as can be witnessed from the money list. Daniel Alaei, Robert Williamson III, Chau Giang, Ram Vasawani and Michael Binger all cashed, as did Tom Dwan. Durrrr once again came close to his elusive first bracelet but eventually busted in fifth place at the hands of Buchanan for a $134,480.

Join us tomorrow to see whether Buchanan can make a Lazarus-like comeback or whether Soulier will make it French bracelet number three at this year's WSOP.
