Phil Hellmuth was again the big story in the latest $1,000 No Limit Hold'em event. The Poker Brat looked on course to make it a third final table at this year's World Series but the 11-time bracelet winner busted shortly before the close.

The 2011 double runner up put his all his chips in the middle holding Kd8d on an AdQd4s board and was looked up by Jonathan Driscoll holding Ac10s. The turn and river were blanks to send a disgruntled Hellmuth to the rail, still dreaming of that elusive twelfth bracelet.

Eliminating Hellmuth pushed Driscoll to the top of the chip counts on 1,247,000 followed by Kenneth Griffin on 1,133,000 and Londoner Andrew Teng on 723,000. After Hellmuth's exit Antonio Esfandiari is the best known survivor and The Magician will return with 663,000. The other big name left is David 'Bakes' Baker who sits in twelfth place on 252,000.

The 21 survivors are all guaranteed at least $13,031 with the top five finishers taking home a six figure score and the winner walking away with $455,356.
