Day 2 of the $1,500 Limit Hold ‘em Shootout saw 63 remaining players take to eight tables of eight in order to play down to a final table from the field of 548.
The mathematical minded among you have noticed the disparity – Yueqi Zhu was disqualified from the tournament between Days 1 and 2; staff were not specific but Jack Effel announced that there was to be “no deal making” at WSOP tournaments.Joseph McGowan took down his table earliest, securing his spot at the final table. He was followed by seven more players including Full Tilt pro Jonathan Little, online player Mike “Schneids” Schneider and Limit Hold ‘em specialist and part time 2+2 Pokercast host Terrence Chan. Each of the eight players will start tomorrow with 360,000 chips with betting limits of 5,000/10,000. The first prize is $184,950 with each player currently guaranteed $12,961.
