Final table set at Event #36, $1,000 No Limit Hold ‘em

Wednesday, 23 June 2010

In less than five blind levels the 38 players who remained after two opening flights and a second day of the $1,000 NL tournament that was Event #36 have become one final table of nine.

While his chip stack isn’t overly impressive, former November Niner Scott Montgomery is the only big name at the table.

Sebastien Roy leads the field as the final table begins tomorrow with a stack of 1,867,000 which is more than three times the 604,000 that Montgomery can boast. Roy is joined by two others in the seven-figure chip count club; Timothy Beeman on 1,788,000 and Daniel Fuhs on 1,251,000.

Each of the final nine players is guaranteed a payout of $35,986 with the top five finishers being rewarded with a six-figure payout. The first prize has been set at $481,760 – not bad for $1,000 and four days of play.
The final table plays out tonight so join us here tomorrow for updates and find out if Montgomery can score a WSOP bracelet. The full chip counts are as follows:

1. Sebastien Roy 1,867,000
2. Timothy Beeman 1,788,000
3. Daniel Fuhs 1,251,000
