Event#15 - Two tables remain in $10,000 Stud Hi/Lo

Tuesday, 8 June 2010

After 12 hours hours of play and the clock nearing 3.20am organisers decided to bring Day 2 of the $10,000 World Championship Stud 8-or-Better Hi/Lo event to a close despite being just two short of the bubble. 18 players remain but with a minimum cash clocking in at $28,221, nearly three times the buy-in, the bubble could take a while to burst tomorrow.

Some things we’re relatively sure of: the pros mentioned above will make it to the money; John Juanda is sitting on a tidy stack of 368,000 in fourth while Allen Kessler is in eighth on 316,000. Dario Minieri is just about hanging in there too. No, we didn’t know he could play Stud either.

Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu and Barry Greenstein all fell short today but Jen Harman still has a stack of 197,000. Steve “The Eagle” Zolotow won a late pot with trips over trips against Vladamir Schmelev, who appears to be the Ville Wahlbeck of this WSOP as he is running well in every Stud event so far.

Join us tomorrow to find who made the money and, hell, who won the whole damn shebang. Our money is on Juanda but Jen is due another bracelet surely?
