Day 1b completed in Event #24, $1,000 NLHE

Monday, 14 June 2010

Yet another $1,000 NLHE tournament is underway at the 2010 World Series of Poker and an unsurprisingly huge field of 3,289 was whittled down to just 512 players for tomorrow’s Day 2 after two opening flights.

Day 2 begins tomorrow with a host of notable luminaries still in the running including Team Full Tilt Poker pro Tom “durrrr” Dwan in ninth place in the chip counts – durrrr has a variety of bracelet bets with an armada of pros and a WSOP win is reputed to be worth eight figures to him.

David Wilkerson finished Day 1b as the chip leader with an impressive stack of 66,400 while Dwan could only muster up 37,525. Liv Boeree and Isaac Haxton are both still alive in the remaining 512 players also and will join Day 1a survivors Arnaud Mattern and Bill Chen.

The top five chip counts are as follows:
1 David Wilkerson 66,400
2 Chris Adams 56,325
3 Adam Reynolds 54,400
4 Laura Cantero 52,850
5 Eric Froehlich 47,325
