WSOP names One Drop foundation as its official charity

Friday, 25 May 2012

The World Series of Poker 2012 has officially named Guy Laliberte’s One Drop Foundation the charity partner of the WSOP this year. This comes after what looks to be the inevitable success of the Big One for One Drop tournament

The $1m buy-in event, which has attracted 38 players thus far, donates 11% of the prize pool to the foundation, meaning that over $4 million has been raised for the cause before the WSOP even begins next week.

In addition, the Rio will be installing water coolers branded with the One Drop logo across the Rio and encouraging people to refill their water bottles.
