As the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event draws to a close, Glu Mobile, a creator and global publisher of mobile entertainment, is launching WSOP Texas Hold’em for major wireless carriers, giving poker fans an authentic, non-prize poker experience on their mobile phone.
'Glu has raised the bar for mobile poker play with a game that accurately reflects the thrills and excitement of the World Series of Poker,' said Jeffrey Pollack, WSOP commissioner. 'The launch of World Series of Poker Texas Hold'em gives our fans a fun, authentic poker experience that is simple to learn and dynamic enough to satisfy the most sophisticated players.'
World Series of Poker Texas Hold'em allows players to compete at tables with up to eight mobile gamers against WSOP champions such as Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson and Scott Fischman. The launch of World Series of Poker Texas Hold'em is the first product in the portfolio of games, applications and wallpapers that Glu is developing and publishing.
'Glu has painstakingly recreated the general atmosphere of the WSOP, from table design to menu backgrounds,” IGN.com's Levi Buchanan said. “If you are a fan of the sport and follow the tournaments on ESPN, you will likely feel at home with Glu's offering.'
