With the World Series of Poker looming in the poker calendar, a plethora of poker sites have announced their online qualifiers for the main event in Vegas this summer.
It’s estimated that half the field at last year’s main event qualified for the $10,000 buy-in tournament online. Despite the US crackdown on American poker activity, this year’s event is destined to see a similar number of players winning their seats online.
Bodog are offering qualifiers for as little as $1 progressing up to a $270 semi-final. The firm is looking to increase its qualifier numbers from last year, where they sent 500 players.
Absolute Poker has one of the cheapest WSOP qualifiers around. Its $108 qualifiers award as many $11,000 WSOP packages as possible. Feeders into the $108 event run around the clock, and start from as little as $1.
Full Tilt Poker has a variety of ways for players to get to the WSOP, as well as any event with a $10,000 buy-in. Its 'Player’s Choice' feeders give players the option to take their qualifying tickets and enter any major event they choose. Many of the players will cash their tickets at the WSOP main event. Satellites start from as little as $6.60.
UltimateBet is giving away $12,000 WSOP prize packages in $215 qualifiers that take place weekly. They also hold a $12,000 ultimate satellite that costs $1,050, and award as many $12,000 prize packages as possible.
