WSOP November Nine to reunite at Foxwoods

Tuesday, 11 January 2011

The Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge, kicking off on February 8th, will be a unique event in the poker calendar in that it will reunite Michael Mizrachi, world champion Jonathan Duhamel and the rest of the November Nine under one roof in a three-table tournament featuring qualifiers and the nine most famous faces of 2010.

“This will be a legendary reunion watched by the entire poker community,” said organiser and Foxwoods ambassador Bernard Lee. “Not only will the November Nine meet at Foxwoods to resurrect memories of their last game, the players will also test their skills against the casino’s strongest poker players.”

In November, Jonathan Duhamel made history by defeating Jonathan Racener heads-up to become the first Canadian champion of the World Series of Poker Main Event as well as taking home almost nine million dollars for defeating the second-largest field that the tournament has ever seen.

Michael Mizrachi is one of the poker world’s better-known players, especially after an amazing run in 2010 that saw him not only win the $50,000 Players’ Championship (the most coveted title outside of the Main Event) but also make several other big final tables including the biggest of all, where he finished 5th.

The Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge begins its 19th run featuring two $75,000 guaranteed $400 and $600 buy-in tournaments as well as one with a buy-in of just $300. The action kicks off on February 8 and we’ll have all the news for you then.
