Deuce to Seven Triple Draw might not be one of the best known forms of poker, but it’s certainly one of the most finessed games out there. The aim? Make the worst possible hand in three draws as you can.

Deuce to Seven Triple Draw might not be one of the best known forms of poker, but it’s certainly one of the most finessed games out there. The aim? Make the worst possible hand in three draws as you can. Straights and flushes count against you, and aces are always high – so 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 is the nuts. Got that? Then let us begin…
While most of the poker world looks to the Hold’em or Omaha games with eager eyes, the Deuce to Seven tends to be overlooked a little. This final table might be tough to ignore though, as two of the best young players out on the circuit have navigated their way past a star-studded field. John Phan and Robert Mizrachi (brother of ‘The Grinder’ and great player in his own right), will come up against poker theoretician David Sklansky though, as well as three others keen to get their hands on the WSOP gold.
The final table will line up as follows:
Seat 1: Ben Ponzio - 113,000
Seat 2: Shun Uchida - 200,000
Seat 3: David Sklansky - 78,000
Seat 4: Gioi Luong - 291,000
Seat 5: Robert Mizrachi - 215,000
Seat 6: John Phan - 294,000
Phan with the chip lead will be a tough opponent for the remaining five to get past, but Robert Mizrachi is a play who has come on in leaps and bounds in the last two years. I wouldn’t play their home game, let’s put it that way. The finale should prove a tough one to call, but interesting viewing nonetheless.
