WSOP Circuit $10,000 Regional Championship Day 2

WSOP Circuit $10,000 Regional Championship Day 2

Wednesday, 27 October 2010

Only 24 players are left in contention in Indiana for the $10,000 Regional Championship of the World Series of Poker Circuit. This follows the record-breaking field set by the WSOP Circuit $1,500 event in Hammond; 210 players entered the event and 24 remain with each player guaranteed a return on investment.

The first prize, though, is a $525,449 pay day and automatic entry to the $1,000,000 World Series of Poker Circuit National Championship that will take place in May 2011. Leading the field with 24 players left in contention is Greg Patgorski who has run his starting stack up to 729,000 in the past two days. Blinds are 3,000/6,000 when play resumes today at 1pm local time.

Also in the hunt – and the top ten chip counts – are Steve Zolotow, Shannon Shorr, David Baker and Justin “BoostedJ” Smith. The latter is in fourth place after bagging up just under half a million at the end of play. Tomorrow the field will have played down to a final table.

The top five chip counts are as follows:
1. Gabe Patgorski - 729,000
2. Curt Kohlberg - 704,000
3. David Paredes - 538,000
4. Justin “BoostedJ” Smith - 491,000
5. Dan Perper - 482,000
