WPT Venice final table set – Vamplew leads

WPT Venice final table set – Vamplew leads

Tuesday, 8 February 2011

David Vamplew burst onto the tournament scene last year after an amazing week in London which saw him win the EPT London Main Event and then the UKIPT Champions of Champions tournament. The young Scot could be in line for event more glory at WPT Venice where he has the chip lead going into the final table.

The ma
in obstacle standing in the way of Vamplew's quest for a second leg of the triple crown looks to be Max Lykov. The EPT Player of the Year boosted his stack substantially on the last hand of day 4 by eliminating Paolo Della Penna who was the unfortunate final table bubble boy.

Each of the remaining eight players is guaranteed a pay day of at least €31,960 but they'll all have eyes on the first prize of €380,000.

The final table chip counts are as follows:

1.David Vamplew 4,100,000
2.Alessio Isaia 2,910,000
3.Szabolcs Mayer 2,585,00
4.Max Lykov 2,175,000
5.Adrien Camille Garrigues 1,555,000
6.Emmanuel Rodrigues 1,465,000
7.Luca Fiorini 470,000
8.Paolini Renato 405,000
