WPT Launches UK Tour

Thursday, 12 September 2013

The UK's already crowded live tournament scene has just got even busier with the news that the World Poker Tour will be hosting a series of events.

The new live line up will starts at Aspers Casino in Stratford from 24-27 October. The so-called Aspers Accumulator will feature an intriguing new format which tournament sponsor bwin.com says will offer players “more bang for your buck”.

“Instead of one massive buy-in, the tournament features three separate, smaller buy-in starting days,” read a statement from bwin. “You choose how many of these you want to take part in. Whatever chips you have at the end of each day will be stored and consequently summed up before the tournament proceeds to day 2.” The buy-in is set to be £200 for each day with =satellites up and running at bwin.com.

Organisers haven't confirmed the venues for future stops but rumours suggest that we'll be setting our satnavs for Northampton, Milton Keynes and Newcastle.
