Voting open for British Poker Awards

Voting open for British Poker Awards

Friday, 10 August 2012

The public will once again get the chance to honour the great and the good in UK poker as voting for the British Poker Awards is now open.

Voters can choose their favourites in a total of 11 categories including including “Beat Cash Player”, “Best Tournament Player”, “Best Online Player”, “Best Poker League”, “Best Poker Forum” and “Poker Personality of the Year”.

Representatives from Bluff Europe, PokerNews.com, Poker Strategy.com, as well as Jesse “The Voice of Poker” May drew up the list of nominees with the ceremony itself set to be held on 17th September 2012 on board the HMS President, moored on the Victoria Embankment on the Thames. Tickets for what should be a great evening are priced at just £20 and are available by clicking here.

“It’s been a great year for British Poker, with lots of really young guys coming through and established guys, like Sam Trickett, cementing themselves as worldwide superstars of the game,” said organiser Michael Caselli. “The British Poker Awards is part of the wider London Poker Festival which is all about celebrating the game in this country, so it’s only natural that the poker community itself should decide who gets the awards.”
